When we developed the new Tarmac Disc, we didn't just want to design a fast bike. No, we wanted a bike that was the fastest, always and everywhere: on long climbs, on windy flat sections, on Grand Tour stages and at local races - in short, the most complete racer on the market. How did we do it? It started with a Rider-First-Engineered ™ frame made of almost 500 carbon fiber parts, which were laid out differently depending on the frame size, in order to guarantee the same riding quality on every bike. Real aero technology was added to this, which makes the wheel 45 seconds faster than the SL5 and even saves 20% in weight. There is nothing that is easier, faster and more agile.

• When designing the new Tarmac, we used our optimization software to develop a new carbon layup for our FACT 12r frame. With this technology we were able to save almost 200 g. You read correctly, 20% weight reduction only in the frame - your best ingredient for the next mountain stage.
• 500 carbon fiber individual parts that are individually tailored to seven different frame sizes. This enables us to achieve a powerful balance of rigidity and weight for all drivers. Each frame has its own layup with a different arrangement and sometimes even different carbon fibers.
• With aerodynamics, we can make you all the faster, and with the Tarmac, we have been able to implement aerodynamic features without having to compromise on weight. During our development, we defined three areas where we could implement aerodynamics: a new fork design, deep-seated seat stays with an aerodynamic tube shape and a D-shaped seat post. The result? A Tarmac that's 40 seconds 45 seconds faster.
• In the meantime, we have access to countless Retül measurement data and have been able to improve the geometry - the result is a further increase in responsiveness in the steering area and a maximally short rear triangle that transmits your power extremely directly and makes the Tarmac more agile than ever.
• We have developed a seat post that can yield more effectively in the upper area, where it is not clamped. In combination with deeper seat stays and a modified seat tube structure, the new Tarmac drives more smoothly than ever without sacrificing efficiency.
